Gordon Banta has over 25 years of sales, marketing, and production experience in the film and television industries. His career spans a wide range of the media production process, from working with pioneers in technology innovation to fueling the operations of top tier producers and post production groups. Gordon Banta’s career includes being the Director of Sales and Marketing for Paragon Arts International, where he raised capital investment for the production of independent films that were distributed to national and international audiences. As the West Coast Sales Manager for Ikegami Electronics, Banta established and managed the studio and field camera systems for NBC, CBS, and FOX networks, and for the network’s owned and operated television stations. After serving with Ikegami, Gordon became the West Coast Sales Manager for the digital pioneer, Quantel Inc., where he established and managed major studio accounts, such as Warner Bros., Paramount, and Universal Studios; and premier post productions groups, including Modern Videofilm, 4MC, Complete Post, Encore Video, Hollywood Digital, and Ascent Media. Banta placed the world’s first “IQ”, Quantel’s digital intermediate system, at Universal Studios, and he later established the “IQ” at Modern Videofilm, where it is used to finish some of the biggest block busters in the film industry, such as Avatar. In addition, Gordon established and managed Quantel editing / compositing, graphic, and digital storage systems with the NBC, CBS, and FOX broadcast networks, and was responsible for generating more than $100 million of business revenue during his tenure. Previous to working with TW3 Entertainment, Gordon was directing the sales and marketing efforts for several award winning documentary film makers, producing programs on such critical environmental issues as rising ocean tides and vanishing islands.
